- Stock software is rough; screen is fragile
Xteink X3 Mist Gray (ASIN B0GSZX5MWR). Credit-card e-reader (~58g, 3.7 inch e-ink) that magnetically rides on a phone. The Atlantic (Sept 6, 2026) called it the best piece of tech the writer bought in years because spare minutes became reading instead of scrolling. Honest limits: no front light, no touchscreen, pogo-pin charger instead of USB-C, and stock firmware will not open Kindle or Libby DRM files — DRM-free EPUB/TXT only, and many owners install CrossPoint firmware. Buy a case; the glass is easy to crack.
